“My husband Les and I moved to Oaklands in 1988 with our daughter and son who attended the local primary and secondary schools. I served as a governor of Knightsfield School for hearing impaired children, in Welwyn Garden City, for 6 years and served as Chairman of Governors for Monk’s Walk School, Welwyn Garden City for 14 years. In 1997 I was appointed as a JP and sat at St Albans and Watford Magistrates’ Courts. We enjoy being grandparents to our two grandsons and my hobbies are travelling, reading, walking and spending time with family and friends. I stood for the Parish Council as I enjoy living in Oaklands and want to contribute to this community and also to work to help maintain the character of Welwyn Village.”
