Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council have a duty to review existing conservation areas in the Borough, as well as consider new designations. They are running a consultation on the draft appraisal and management plan which has been prepared for the Welwyn village conservation area which:
· identifies the special character and appearance of the conservation area
· describes the main features of architectural and historic interest
· identifies opportunities for beneficial change and the need for additional protection
· identifies areas which could be considered for removal from the conservation area.
They are keen to hear the views of parish residents, the community and all other stakeholders.
The draft plan is easy-to-follow and both a copy and details of the consultation portal, are downloadable from: Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council Website or a paper copy can be examined at the Library or the Parish Council Office. We also have paper copies of the consultation response form.
The Consultation is open for responses from Wednesday 9th November 2022 up until Friday 6th January 2023.
