Hertfordshire County Council Consultation 20mph zone in Welwyn Village
Consultation ends 30 November 2023
The aim of the proposal is to make it easier and safer for people walking and cycling and to improve safety for all road users by encouraging vehicle drivers to adopt appropriate and safe speeds.
As part of the proposals, it is also necessary to introduce sections of 40mph “buffer zones” on School Lane and White Hill, and extend the existing 30mph speed limit on Hertford Road, as transitions between National speed limit sections of road and the proposed 20mph zone.
